Upon his return to the states, Robert received a Proposed Citation for a Silver Star, with recommendations from Col. EmRoy M. Gehlsen, MSG William D. Bradley, and Major Francisco Moreno. Robert wrote a song titled, ‘The One Who Waits’ about four crew members of Huey 808 that went missing in action in Vietnam. When the remains were identified in 2009, Robert was honored to perform the song at the large funeral in Laurel, Nebraska. In addition to ‘The One Who Waits’, Robert has two professionally produced country/gospel albums called: ‘North Carolina You’re A Lady to Me’ and ‘The Gospel Fire’. He is also the proud author of his book titled, ‘The Fire: Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth’.
